Spoilers: the table reveals later mission names and destinations, but avoids story outcomes.

Main missions, Operations and character missions
Tactical Missions advance the campaign Cycle, according to EA's campaign explanation. Optional Operations use Intel and can affect resources or Bonds. Character mission requirements should be read separately: being between two story entries does not mean every side activity is available or must be completed there.
This distinction helps when a guide says βbefore the next mission.β Ask whether it means a story deployment, an optional Operation or a character objective. A fixed main-story order is useful for progress; it is not a universal calendar of recruitments and rewards.
Before advancing the next Cycle
- Check the mission requirement first. Reserve a mandatory Operator before choosing the other squad roles.
- Check the Medbay. Read injury counts and recovery timing; prepare a healthy substitute for a required role.
- Spend Intel for a reason. Compare an optional Operation's displayed reward with the resource currently blocking your squad. The choices guide gives examples.
- Inspect equipment on the deployed squad. A useful Utility on an Operator staying in The Den does not cover the mission team.
- Prepare one fallback. If your main finisher is unavailable, decide who provides its job rather than simply copying the previous four names.
Use squad replacements and injury recovery alongside this list. These preparation rules are our tactical synthesis, rather than mission-specific tested walkthroughs.
If the next story mission is not available
Compare your completed mission with the next row, then inspect the current campaign objective and outstanding prerequisites. Check whether a character or hub interaction needs completion and whether you are browsing optional Operations instead of the story deployment. Record the mission name and objective text before looking for a fix; a locked prerequisite needs a different response from a completed mission that fails to register.
If the problem occurs in Tel-Rea's character mission, use its version-specific completion note. A main-story list cannot diagnose that separate bug by itself.
