The core Star Wars Zero Company characters are Hawks, Trick, Tel-Rea Vokoss, Cly Kullervo, Luco Bronc, Jae Mordant, Kabb Uppercut, and M-3VO. Named authored Operators join through the campaign with unique talents and stories, while custom Operators are recruited at The Den to fill the classes, species, and roles your roster lacks. Runa Blask, Bennic Halloren, and Neesh Renark support the company from the base, while Kundri Fathom and the Infinite Coil drive the central conflict.

Hawks

Hawks is the customizable player character and former Republic officer who leads Zero Company. The commander can be presented with a masculine or feminine voice and can change appearance, weapon plan, and standard Specialization, making Hawks the roster's most flexible authored role. Fearless Leader improves the assist damage and defense of other Operators when Hawks is deployed, rewarding a coordinated team rather than a lone-hero build.

Because Hawks appears frequently, the best class depends on the gap left by the rest of the squad. Scout is our general recommendation for Advantage and setup, Medic protects a Permadeath campaign, and Sharpshooter supplies early ranged precision. The complete comparison is in the best class for Hawks guide.

Trick, CT-3301

Trick is a clone trooper who served with Hawks before both became mercenaries. He begins as a dependable Soldier and supplies early area damage through tools such as Rocket Strike, which makes clustered battle droids much easier to control. His For My Brothers talent can revive him after being downed once per mission, and its upgraded form can prevent the first down from producing an Injury.

That recovery rule makes Trick an unusually forgiving front-line Operator, but it should not be treated as permission to expose him without support. Soldier gives him reliable offense, while a later Heavy pairing improves the durability needed to hold contested spaces. Dee Bradley Baker voices Trick, continuing his long association with Clone Wars clone troopers.

Tel-Rea Vokoss

Tel-Rea Vokoss is a Tognath Jedi Padawan who joins later in the campaign. She does not use the ordinary eight-class structure, progressing through Padawan and Wayseeker paths built around lightsaber attacks, Harmony, deflection, Force Push, Force Pull, and other Force abilities. Her Strong With the Force talent grants Harmony at the start of a turn, improving the actions that define her unique role.

Tel-Rea excels at moving enemies into dangerous formations rather than only striking the nearest target. Push and Pull can group targets for area attacks, remove defenders from cover, or clear the route to an objective. Her locked progression is a specialized toolset, not a reason to neglect the standard Operators who generate the setup she needs.

Cly Kullervo

Cly Kullervo is a Human Mandalorian who enters the story while pursuing bounty targets. Her Combat Jump spends Advantage to reach distant positions with a jetpack, and her Warrior path uses electrical abilities such as Electroweb Dart. A Scout second Specialization can increase the Advantage supply needed to repeat those tools.

Cly's strongest turns depend on battlefield preparation. Mark several enemies with Electroweb, use pushes or knockbacks to group them, then trigger the area payoff when the squad can finish the survivors. Her mobility is also valuable for objectives, but an isolated landing can turn a spectacular entrance into an avoidable Injury.

Luco Bronc

Luco Bronc is an Umbaran sharpshooter and former soldier recruited during the campaign. Combat Gas grants Sharpened Senses that improve ranged damage and hit chance, reinforcing his job as a reliable long-distance finisher. His Sharpshooter tree benefits from accuracy and Overwatch talents, while Scoundrel can add defense penetration and stronger assists.

Luco eventually reduces the need for Hawks to cover the sniper role. Place him where several lanes remain visible rather than chasing the single furthest tile, because assists and objective coverage matter across multiple turns. Jason Spisak provides Luco's voice performance.

Jae Mordant

Jae Mordant is the Ore-Baroness of Luunata and one of the most tactically distinctive authored Operators. Final Shot can eliminate an enemy reduced to low health within her range, turning almost-complete attacks into confirmed removals. Upgrades can expand how often it triggers or raise the qualifying threshold, which makes Jae valuable in squads built around assists.

Jae starts with Assault and can later benefit from a Gunslinger pairing for critical and repeated-shot pressure. Keep her positioned where several allies can attack targets inside her range, then let the squad reduce enemies rather than wasting damage on overkill. Judy Alice Lee voices Jae.

Kabb Uppercut

Kabb is a Felshi mercenary and cybernetically enhanced close-range fighter. His Uppercut rushes an enemy, deals melee damage, and knocks the target back; defeating the target can restore the AP spent to activate the move. That refund makes target preparation essential, because a failed finish leaves Kabb exposed without the action economy that makes the ability exceptional.

Kabb begins with Scoundrel support tools, while Heavy and Soldier are practical later options for durability and melee offense. Use the rest of the squad to lower a target, then send Kabb into a position that offers cover or a second useful action after the kill. JB Blanc voices the character.

M-3VO and custom Operators

M-3VO, often called Meevo, is a bipedal utility droid associated with the Caisson and base operations. Droid paths use dedicated functions such as Built-in Comlink, which can grant AP to allies, and may have equipment rules that differ from ordinary humanoid Specializations. DC Douglas voices M-3VO.

Custom Operators are recruits created and hired at The Den. They let you select species, appearance, class, talent, and loadout combinations that the authored cast does not cover, and they can become the emotional center of a Permadeath campaign. Treat them as deliberate roster solutions rather than disposable replacements, because Bonds and Cross Training make a well-integrated custom recruit increasingly valuable.

Personnel at The Den

Runa Blask manages Operations and Finance, helping connect mission choices with the company's strategic resources. Bennic Halloren represents Republic Intelligence, while Neesh Renark is associated with the Armory and Black Market. These characters shape decisions and conversations even when they do not occupy a tactical deployment slot.

The Den is also where relationships become mechanical progress. Conversations, joint missions, assists, revives, and decisions can change Bonds, and new Bond levels unlock Cross Training benefits. These are friendships and professional connections, not a player romance system; the distinction is covered in the romance guide.

Kundri Fathom and the Infinite Coil

Kundri Fathom leads the Infinite Coil, the emerging threat Zero Company is hired to investigate. Visser serves as a field lieutenant, while the super tactical droid Typhon specializes in asymmetrical warfare and is tied to the Shadow Plague threat. The faction provides an enemy outside a simple Republic-versus-Separatist structure during the twilight of the Clone Wars.

The campaign still includes familiar Star Wars figures, including Anakin Skywalker, but it keeps the primary squad centered on less conventional operatives. That structure gives authored characters room to disagree, form Bonds, and respond to Hawks' decisions without turning every mission into a cameo vehicle. Spoiler-heavy identities and outcomes are intentionally omitted from this overview.
