On this page+
The PC version of Star Wars Zero Company is available through Steam, the EA app, and Epic Games Store, but it has demanding recommended hardware and reported launch stability issues. Use this hub to compare official requirements, troubleshoot conservatively, understand DRM wording, and decide whether a handheld is suitable. Mod coverage is clearly labeled unofficial because EA has not announced an official toolkit.
Check hardware before troubleshooting
EA targets 1080p/30 Low with a Ryzen 5 2600X or Core i5-8400, 16 GB RAM, and an RX 5600 XT, Intel Arc B580, or GTX 1080. The 1440p/60 High target rises to a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-10700K, 32 GB RAM, and an RX 7800 XT or RTX 3080. Compare every component on the system requirements page before assuming a performance problem is a crash bug.
If the game closes, freezes, or stops during an enemy turn, follow the crashing guide. It starts with reversible checks such as verifying files, removing overlays and mods, and lowering Environment Geometry Detail. No step asks you to delete a campaign save.
Mods and DRM answers
Community mods already cover customization, camera behavior, costs, recruits, and small interface changes. They are not officially supported and can break after an update, so the mods guide focuses on backups, one-at-a-time testing, and clean removal. Never download executable “fixes” from untrusted reposts.
Steam does not name Denuvo Anti-Tamper on the store page checked August 29, 2026. That does not make the release DRM-free, because EA's general notice describes third-party DRM and account or activation requirements that can vary by storefront. Read the evidence and limits on the Denuvo page.
Handheld status
Steam marks the game Unsupported on Steam Deck, and EA's desktop minimum specification sits well above a safe handheld assumption. Early player reports describe low performance and soft image quality even after reducing settings. The Steam Deck guide explains why remote play from a stronger PC is currently a more dependable option.
