Star Wars Zero Company Patch 1.2: Your Next Steps

Star Wars Zero Company Patch 1.2 adds Campaign Modifiers and changes Scout, Cly, Astromechs and upgrade costs. See what to change before your next mission.

Updated 2026-10-16

Quick answer

For an existing campaign, revise Scout Advantage generation, limit Cly to three Darts and one Jump per turn, and review cheaper Den upgrades. To use Campaign Modifiers, start a new campaign; they activate after the tutorial.

Based on EA's October 15 announcement, checked October 16. Tactical priorities below are editorial recommendations.

Star Wars Zero Company Patch 1.2, released October 15, 2026, adds Campaign Modifiers, limits several repeatable abilities and lowers many Den costs. In your current campaign, check the squad's resource plan and upgrade queue before deploying. Start a new campaign if you want the new modifier rules.

What should you change first?

Your current planConfirmed 1.2 changePractical adjustment
Fund an ultimate through Scout killsTactical Timing now progresses through 30/40/50/65/80%, with generation restricted to ranged and melee attacksReserve existing Advantage first; keep a normal attack available if the passive fails
Cover many targets with Cly's DartsElectroWeb Dart has three uses per turnSelect the three most useful blast centers; a fourth mark cannot be part of this turn
Jump in, attack, then Jump outCombat Jump has one use per turnChoose the final landing position before spending it
Feed an ally through repeated Astromech transfersBuilt-In Comlink has three uses per turn at maximum rankGive AP to the ally with an affordable, useful follow-up; avoid planning a feedback loop
Let one droid repair itself repeatedlySelf-Repair has two uses per combat; healing also changesKeep the second repair for a later danger; read the current healing preview before spending AP
Delay recruitment because a larger roster costs moreRecruits now cost 100 Credits eachFill a missing role while retaining a recovery reserve

These limits change an action sequence, not every reason to use the character. Cly's updated build, Hawks' class choices and Astromech support explain alternatives when the old sequence no longer fits.

Existing campaign or a fresh start?

Continue your save when you want the balance changes, cheaper upgrades or a documented bug fix. Compare costs in The Den before starting the next project. EA lists Increased Crew Quarters I–IV at zero Credits, but Build Slot availability and construction time still affect when an upgrade helps. Use the Den cost comparisons and spending order.

Start a new campaign to enable Campaign Modifiers. At campaign creation, open Difficulty Settings, then Additional Campaign Options. Selected rules begin after the tutorial. The Campaign Modifiers guide compares death rules, Advantage restrictions, respec locks and recommended starting combinations.

If you were stuck: match the fix to the trigger

EA documents several progression fixes. Use the trigger to decide what to retry:

SymptomDocumented fixNext step
Retake Luunata stopped progressing after a save in the elevatorElevator-save progression blocker correctedInstall 1.2, load the affected save and retry the objective; retain an earlier save if available
Speak with Kabb did not resolve when its conversation was unavailableCompletion blocker correctedRetry the conversation/objective after updating
Speak with your Other Companions blocked the epilogueEpilogue progression correctedReopen the affected save and check the remaining conversation objectives
Overwatch unexpectedly triggers from reflected boltsReflected bolts no longer incorrectly trigger Retaliation or OverwatchReassess the encounter after updating before rebuilding a defensive loadout

The announcement describes fixes, rather than guaranteeing recovery of every affected save. If the same trigger still fails, record your platform, installed version, mission step and whether a pre-trigger save reproduces it; follow the PC troubleshooting workflow for crashes.

A five-minute return-to-campaign checklist

  1. Confirm the update finished installing before launching the save.
  2. Read Cly's and your Astromech's current ability limits in Personnel.
  3. Budget the shared Advantage pool without assuming a Scout proc.
  4. Compare the next Den project with the new recruitment and upgrade costs.
  5. Play the next encounter with a backup ordinary attack or recovery action before committing to a single-save challenge run.

Source and scope

Rules and announced fixes were checked October 16, 2026 against EA's official Patch 1.2 notes. The tables select changes that affect player decisions; they are not a reproduction of the full changelog. The spending and turn-planning advice is our analysis of those rules, not a claim of independent gameplay testing.
